Artists: Stefano Panunzi Title: A Rose Genres: Alternative  Label: Emerald Recordings  Price: HKD148
2005 Fjieri member Stefano Panunzi’s debut album Timelines was a fine piece of work, on which songbased progressive rock (somewhere between No-Man, Porcupine Tree and the music of ex-Japan-members) was frequently varied with instrumental pieces, strongly inclined toward ambient and atmospheric jazz. "A Rose" is a sublime mixture second solo album by Stefano Pununzi. An exotic ballads, rich textures and Art Rock adventurism.
An epilogue of this impressive album, with which Panunzi and his musical friends will please especially the lovers of the SONG in the progressive music-scene. A must have fans for Rain Tree Crow, Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Eno, King Crimson and No-Man.
The Kissaway Trail return with a renewed sense of purpose. 'Sleep Mountain' isn't so much a reinvention for the Danish quintet but a fabulous progression in the wake of its predecessor, 2007's self-titled debut, a record that The Independent called 'the debut album of the year' With Peter Katis (Interpol, The National, The Twilight Sad) producing, 'Sleep Mountain' reveals how The Kissaway Trail have grown. Combining the urgency and dynamics of bands as diverse as Sonic Youth and The Flaming Lips with the sensitivity of 'Another Green World'-period Eno, and melodies that have the stamp of bona fide singer-songwriters, 'Sleep Mountain' is a contemporary, timeless, vulnerable rock classic. Bella Union. 2010.
